These are basically the kind of chips you would get in a kid's poker set and are not chips you would ever use in a real poker game. You would only use these chips if you decided to play a meaningless game of poker with a non-poker crowd. The obvious advantage to these chips is that they are very inexpensive. The downside is that they are obviously cheap-looking and cheap-feeling. The chips usually have ridges around the edges to make it easier to stack, but these ridges, ironically, sometimes make the chips harder to stack because if the ridges are not interlocked then the stack of chips becomes unstable.
Summary: These chips are cheap. You should be embarrassed to have these chips. Don't use them. If you do buy these, you need to be careful because they sometimes come in width that are WAY smaller than standard-sized chips - and you won't notice this just by looking at pictures.
Clay Poker Chips Custom
You will find that clay chips stack better than composite poker chips, beacause they are less slippery. The chips with graphics have a label inlay on them. These label inlays are recessed into the face of the chip, unlike ceramic poker chips, which the graphics are part of the chip.
All clay poker chips have some percentage of composite materials in them. The composite materials give the chip strength. A 100% pure clay chip would be extremely brittle and easy to break. Even our casino grade poker chips which have a higher percentage of clay can be broken in half, if you try to break them.
Generally, the more expensive a clay chip costs, the higher the percentage of clay it is made with. It is more complex to manufacturer chips with a higher clay content.
